Last week, Cirrus announced the launch of its Mission Ready Simulator Sessions, a free, year-long training program for SR20 and SR22 owners that is now available at participating U.S. training centers. The program delivers 24 structured, mission-based simulator sessions released twice monthly, allowing pilots to complete one session per month for up to 12 annually while maintaining flexibility and consistent engagement. Developed by Cirrus instructor pilots, the sessions use realistic, scenario-driven missions that incorporate decision making, aircraft systems knowledge, risk management, and simulated ATC interactions to improve proficiency. The company says the initiative reflects broader research showing structured simulation strengthens pilot skills and is the first step in expanding its training offerings to enhance safety through continuous learning. ... The Indonesian Ministry of Defense has selected the Pilatus PC-24 to support transport pilot training, airlift operations, and liaison missions within the Indonesian Air Force. A contract for twelve PC-24 aircraft has been signed with PT E-System Solutions Indonesia, the Ministry of Defense’s authorized defense contractor.The agreement includes an option to purchase additional aircraft, along with ground support equipment, tools, and spare parts. It also covers training and technical support to be provided by Switzerland-based Pilatus Aircraft Ltd from its headquarters in Stans.This arrangement reflects a broader effort to strengthen operational capabilities and expand training capacity within Indonesia’s military aviation sector through the introduction of a versatile jet platform. ...
